Summary: Without going into too much details, I would not recommend anyone stay at this place! The only reason this place gets two stars and not zero is, it's location, breakfast was decent most morning and the security guards (who were more present than anyone else) were very good. Mr green, Mr Jackson and Mr Brooks should be commended. Miss Meeks in the office is very apologetic but not at all helpful. Another tidbit that my interest potential future guess. 5-day stay no housekeeping in those 5 days, even though it was request and I was promised it would "definitely" happen.

Summary: Was not aware that I must pay a deposit for damages when I arrived which left a bad feeling. As this cost was unexpected. Must make this very clear when booking as I found this experience left my wife and I distraught 😞

Summary: The best aspect of this stay was the breakfast because the delivery was punctual, and the portions were suffice. I was not provided with wifi upon entry nor were the instructions placed in the room - had to use data throughout. And lastly, I did not get any housecleaning services. I was told that they offer that service every other day, but my room remained the same way I left it every morning on my way out; I only got towel changed once and I had to request it.

Summary: Sea Shell Palms is an amazing stay for an amazing value! I hope the quality and affordability never change. Security Green was excellent with our check in and check out process. The guards and maintenance workers were also helpful, even helped us jump start our car. The free morning breakfast was icing on the cake! Hot and fresh every morning and AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN FOOD! The property includes a beautiful pool, unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to try it out, definitely next time. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a budget friendly, clean, and peaceful place to escape the busy streets of Ochi!

Summary: I rarely write reviews, but future guests considering this hotel in Ocho Rios should know what we experienced. We stayed here during a Christmas holiday vacation, but it became one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. During our stay, the hotel shut off the water to the entire property — not low pressure, but no running water at all. That meant no showers, no sinks. What made this even worse was that the hotel never warned guests this would happen. There was no notice or communication. At the same time, the hotel WiFi did not work for our entire stay. For international travelers staying in Ocho Rios, reliable internet is a basic necessity, yet this hotel could not provide it. When we tried to speak with hotel staff and cancel the remainder of our stay due to the lack of basic utilities, no attendants were available to help us. The security on property could only help to their extent. Office staff were completely unavailable when we needed assistance over the holidays. Afterwards, the hotel blamed a recent hurricane. However, we stayed at other hotels in Jamaica during the same trip where both water and WiFi worked perfectly. At no point before or during check-in did this hotel communicate that these services would not be available. The hotel has also refused to offer compensation or respond to calls about a refund. No water. No WiFi. No communication. Extremely disappointing for a hotel stay during the holiday when guests are paying premium rates.
